There’s never a good time for errors or performance degradations to show up, but during periods of peak traffic like the holidays, it’s especially critical to get immediate answers about what's failing and how to fix it.
Our new data storage location in Germany is now generally available (GA). This allows all Sentry organizations— including those on our free Developer plan— to host their data in the EU or in the US.
While Sentry is already compliant with data protection laws and regulations applicable to its service including GDPR, this capability allows users with European data residency requirements to store their data in Europe.
In keeping with Sentry’s ethos of developing in the open, we engaged with our users early and got invaluable feedback from the community as well as our initial cohort of beta users to help launch a robust, performant, and fully functional EU instance.
